THE Government has agreed to reinstate presidential aide Charles Rwomushana’s salary to resident district commissioners’ (RDC) scale

THE Government has agreed to reinstate presidential aide Charles Rwomushana’s salary to resident district commissioners’ (RDC) scale, writes Jude Etyang.

This follows an out-of-court settlement of a case where Rwomushana sued the government last year, saying his salary was unconstitutionally cut from a gross of sh1.7m to sh0.8m after he was re-deployed to the President’s office.

Rwomushana was the Pader RDC before his transfer to the Internal Security Organisation (ISO) in the President’s Office.

Former Attorney General Amama Mbabazi on January 12 ordered the Director of Civil litigation, Joseph Masiko, to settle the case out of court.

Rwomushana demanded that his salary be reinstated to an RDC’s scale and that he be paid arrears.
