MBALE — The district has received sh250m from the Uganda Aids commission to fund Aids projects. Chief administrative officer Godfrey masaba last week handed over the cheques to the benefiting groups, under the community HIV/AIDS Initiative.

Staff shifted
BUSIA — Headmasters, their deputies and class teachers have been transferred to new schools. Addressing the press on Friday, district inspector of schools Namwambe angojo said the transfers were normal and those affected should not panic. He said 21 headmasters, 17 deputies and 135 teachers were affected, adding that 33 teachers were being monitored.

100m/- delay
IGANGA — The town council is awaiting President Yoweri museveni’s sh100m pledge to complete a water supply project. Town clerk Batwawula Musasizi on Friday said the money was needed to compensate people whose land was to be occupied by the water reservoirs.
