NEW Vision (NVL) had sh6.1m of the sh8.7m turnover at Uganda Securities Exchange (USE) in the week to Thursday compared to sh377,650 last week, reports Peter Kaujju.

NVL traded 25,000 shares at sh245 each on Tuesday, while DFCU’s turnover was sh713,000.

Uganda Clays was the only active counter yesterday, with sh2.5m in turnover after trading 319 shares in one deal at sh8,000 each.

The all share index slipped by 24.31 points to 386.51 from 410.82 last Thursday due to a slump in the share price of East African Breweries. Market capitalisation dropped from sh1,989.8b to sh1,870.5b.
