As part of the International Women’s Day celebration, artists have organised a joint art exhibition to present different subjects relating to women.
The exhibition, which started in Monday, will go on until Sunday, March 20 at Nommo Gallery in Nakasero.

The artists have employed different forms of art to explore different aspects surrounding women’s welfare. Much of their portrays women as the most important yet most forgotten people by society.
Some depict a woman as the source of life and continuity while others portray her as a beautiful and curvy being who men never seize to admire.

Unlike many other exhibitions held at the gallery, this one transcends personal profits or individual talent. It is not the beauty of the art that matters here but the ability of artists to contribute to a noble cause.
