St. Maria Gorreti Secondary School in Kabale closed prematurely at the weekend after students rioted, destroying property.
Students destroyed the dormitories, smashed computers and desks both in classrooms and at the office block, the headteacer, Kennedy Rwaboona, said.
He said property worth over sh10m was destroyed on Friday night.
The board of governors and parents will this week meet to decide the fate of the students.
Rwabona said the students who will be implicated as ring leaders would have to pay for the damage.
“We are tying to come up with the list of those knotty students that caused the strike and loss of school property,” Rwaboona said.
