Inzikuru to continue plot in Italy

FOLLOWING her record- breaking performance at the Qatar Super IAAF Grand Prix in Doha on May 13 in the 3000m steeplechase, Dorcus Inzikuru is to run for her Italian club TRIS in the Italian Track and Field Championship in Milan slated for May 28-29.

FOLLOWING her record- breaking performance at the Qatar Super IAAF Grand Prix in Doha on May 13 in the 3000m steeplechase, Dorcus Inzikuru is to run for her Italian club TRIS in the Italian Track and Field Championship in Milan slated for May 28-29.
Inzikuru ran 9:28:50 to break her own and set up a new African record in Doha, but will most probably run in the 1500m in Milan along with teammate Wilson Kipkemei, who will race in the 10000m.
The Arua Gazelle will then race in the 2000m in the Milan Grand Prix on June 1, where she will attempt to rewrite the world record of 6:11:84 held by Russian Marina Pluzhnikova.
Inzikuru has been practicing in the high-altitude Iten camp in Eldoret in Kenya for the past fortnight as she continues her build-up to the World Championship in Finland in August.
