LAST Saturday, at the Sheraton Hotel, one couldn’t tell a Movementist and anti-Movementist apart.

This was at the wedding reception of Hussein Kashilingi, the president’s legal advisor and Monica Namara. They tied the knot at All Saints Church on Saturday.

The Kashilingis shook hands, wined and dined with their guests as they discussed their experiences. Hussein is a son to one time ‘prodigal’ freedom fighter, Lt Ahmed Kashilingi.
President Yoweri Museveni said much as Ahmmed had problems with the Movement, Hussein was given a chance to study at Gadaffi Army School and later chosen the legal advisor.
Museveni said Ahmed Kashilingi was a great and determined freedom fighter that helped the NRM to repulse Obote’s soldiers, but later became stubborn and went to Congo, where he was captured.
The colourful ceremony was attended by the Deputy speaker Rebecca Kadaga, Maj Gen Kahinda Otafiire and queen of Toro Best Kemigisha. Other guests included Maj Gen Mugisha Muntu, Hon Bright Rwamirama, Pastor Robert Kayanja and his wife Jessica, Stella and Elly Karuhanga and Ragga Dee.
