SOROTI resident district commissioner (RDC) Musa Ecweru has told evangelists to preach peace and development if the church is to create a positive impact in helping people.
He was addressing a two-week pastors’ conference at the Independent Baptist church in Soroti recently.
The conference, organised by Dr. Kyle Guimon and Pastor Marvin Wright of the Independent Baptist Church, drew 45 pastors.
Ecweru said it was critical for the church to preach peace and reconciliation as a means of concealing insecurity in the country.
He asked preachers to demystify the bible and have it fully understood by the people.
Ecweru hailed the Independent Baptist church for opening up an orphanage in Soroti.
