Kitende beat Kibuli SS, who dethroned them in the recent Coke Schools Cup after they disqualified for illegal players. Mike Serumaga’s hat-trick spurred Kitende to a 3-2 win while Kitende ‘A’ beat Kitende ‘B’ 15-10 in the netball final.

Kayongo flat
boxer Mohammed “Dark Destroyer” Kayongo suffered a major setback on Friday, losing to Jose Leo Moreno in a Minnesota, USA, welterweight championship fight. Kayongo landed good punches early on but lost steam and gave Moreno the advantage.

Cup fees up
FUFA’s normalisation committee has increased the Kakungulu Cup registration fees from sh50,000 to sh0.1m. According to National Football League Committee (NFLC) administrative secretary Aisha Nalule, the money was raised to cater for the extra expenses, most especially the officiating officials. “Funds have proved a big problem,” Nalule confessed.
