NAJJA Mary’s High School, Kyaggwe in Mukono district has awarded SC Villa five scholarships as a way of contributing to the club welfare. The announcement was made by the school’s director Kiruuta Ssemusambwa during a function to open the club’s branch at Buikwe in Mukono district. Sons of Paul Hasule and Sula Kato will fill the slots.

Kabalega SS
KABALEGA SS will tomorrow stage its sports day. Organisers of the Masindi competition that will feature various athletics events said the spirit behind the function is based on principles promoting health, life skills and excellence. Invited Old Kampala will miss.

Mugerwa set
UGANDA will be represented in the Kruibeke International freestyle wrestling championship by Sadiq Mugerwa and Mike Kabuye. The event is set for June 24-28 in Belgium. Mugerwa (80kg category) and Kabuye (65kg category) were selected after conquering their respective weight categories at the national championship held in Kasubi last month.

UAF sure
UAF president Dan Tamwesigire has dismissed calls by pressure group Athletics Forum for NCS to disband the local athletics governing body as a cheap publicity stand. “These are young men who want to create news. I wish him luck in his endeavours” Tamwesigire said of Dixon Okello’s threat to go to court.
