A SENIOR educationist has advised parents to scrutinise foreign scholarships offered to their children because some of them promote homosexuality, reports Isaac Kalembe.
“Parents, beware of lesbianism and homosexuality. Foreigners give out scholarships, but you pay the price. Some of them are homosexuals who are bent on spreading their vice,†Kyambogo University lecturer Sr. Dr. Maria Goretti Kaahwa Ateenyi said.
Addressing a seminar on whether Uganda’s education system meets the job market, Kaahwa, a curriculum development specialist, decried the limitations imposed by the country’s education system inherited from the British.
The seminar was organised by the Fellowship of Christian Unions and the Uganda Christian Teachers Association at Hotel Equatoria on Sunday.
Kaahwa also decried the high rate at which girls drop out of school.
