KASESE district council on Wednesday passed the 2005/6 budget, amounting to sh28.6b, with a more than sh290m shortfall.

KASESE district council on Wednesday passed the 2005/6 budget, amounting to sh28.6b, with a more than sh290m shortfall.
District speaker Charles Baluku presided over the well-attended function at the district council chambers at Rukoki.
Presenting the budget, the district secretary for finance, planning and administration, Matayo Bwambale, said the district expected to raise and spend sh28.687b compared to sh28.977b in the 2004/2005 financial year.
Bwambale said the district expected to raise sh575,398,058 from local revenue.
