THE Police anti-narcotics unit has arrested three Pakistanis, a Nigerian and a Ugandan in connection with heroin trafficking.

Working on a tip-off, the Police on Friday raided the Kabowa residence of the Nigerian believed to be the ringleader.

They impounded a Mercedes Benz lorry loaded with containers in which the heroin was concealed.
Police identified one of the Pakistanis as Iqbal Khan, who was once arrested but escaped.

The Ugandan, only identified as Dan, was some years ago deported from the Netherlands for allegedly dealing in narcotic drugs.

The drugs weighing about 200g, wrapped in a polythene envelope, had been disguised as glass in transit from Pakistan and were said to be part of 41kg of heroin worth over sh800m, which had earlier been intercepted by the Police.
