FIVE suspected collaborators of the Lord’s Resistance Army facing treason charges were yesterday released from Kigo prison. Buganda Road Court ordered the release following the state’s failure to finish investigations. Cyprian Okello, Gaba Otim, Francis Odongo, Joseph Etengu and Kenneth Otim were arrested in July last year.

JOSEPH Mayanja, the father of local artiste Jose Chameleone, has lodged a complaint with the Police, saying he received an anonymous message from a person threatening to kill his son.
Kampala extra Police chief Benson Oyo Nyeko said the musicians had a problem among themselves that needed investigation.

Congolese security authorities have arrested a Ugandan citizen with a vehicle he is suspected to have stolen from Uganda.
Congo border security officers intercepted the vehicle, a Toyota Hiace registration number UAG 433F, in Aru town on Saturday after the purported owner failed to produce ownership documents.
