HEARING of a case in which the Uganda pentecostal University in Fort Portal is seeking orders to force the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) to license it started before Justice Stella Arach-Amoko at the High Court on Monday.
The university sued NCHE, saying it maliciously refused to license it after the council’s inspection team approved the university.
The university is also accusing the Attorney General of failure to regulate the activities of the council.
The university, formerly known as the Grotius School of Law, also accused the Attorney General of failure to ensure that the standards set by NCHE were lawful.
