THE Lions Club of Arua is to spend over sh49m on disadvantaged persons in the West Nile region this financial year.
Addressing the press at Arua district headquarters on Monday, club president Tom Candia Aliti said a big part of the budget would cater for health and education.

Gulu to spend

LAROO Division in Gulu municipality last weekend passed a sh320m budget for the 2005/2006 financial year.
In the 2004/2005 financial year, the division spent sh300m. Finance secretary Betty Aciro said this year’s budget would prioritise primary health care and education.

Alenyo raps
NEBBI district chairman Esrom Alenyo has criticised extension staff for failing to control illegal animal movement in the sub-counties.
He was addressing a training workshop for extension workers at the Teachers’ Resource centre last weekend.
