GIANTS Wakiso district will have to prove their prowess when the national primary schools games take place in Mukono today. The championship involving football, netball and volleyball that was due last week was put off because of the referendum. Wakiso are reigning champions in senior and junior categories in football and netball respectively.

Lions roar
LIONS House maintained their dominance at Kitante Hill School retaining the laurels during the school’s sports day on Saturday. They dominated in track and field athletics and football to garner 185 points. Leopards, who lost the grip to Lions in 2003 finished second (170) ahead Tiger (145).

Official due
AN official of Royal and Ancient is expected tomorrow to review plans for the All Africa golf Challenge. Stephen Isaac, making a second visit after last October’s tour, will stay for five days. The 72-hole match play Challenge will be held at Kitante, October 24-25. UGU’s Nick Okwir, said Isaac will inspect a number of facilities.
