HENRY Sebulime struck 111 as Tornado B beat Jinja-based side JACC by 192 runs in a Castle Lager league tie at Nakawa oval yesterday.

The upper order batsman took advantage of the small pitch to score his maiden century of the season off 55 balls. The score included 10 sixes and 8 fours, spreading the balls in all directions.

Michael Kintu and Richard Mwami contributed 41 and 59 runs respectively as Tornado piled 334-7 in 49 overs.

JACC managed 140 runs with Aggrey Kintu (50) top scoring. JACC captain Bob Ndimwibo displayed the highest level of indiscipline when he uprooted the stumps and threw his bat at the umpires after being given out leg before wicket (lbw).

Champions Tornado ascended the top of the table with a comprehensive ten wicket victory over Nile CC at Kyambogo oval.

Man-of-match Frank Nsubuga hit an unbeaten 41 and Nehal Bibodi added 26 runs — enough to overhaul Nile’s set score of 70 runs. Roger Mukasa (43) was the only Niler with double figures.

At Entebbe, Castle Development XI made light work of Patidar CC beating the side by five wickets.

Richard Sempa and Martin Muyomba ripped through Patidar picking three wickets each.

Reuben Olita
adds that three Kenya national team cricket players have been drafted into the African squad for the first Afro-Asia Cup due August 17-21 in South Africa.
