BONIFACE Kiprop believes that being the only Ugandan against the best in the 10000m World Athletics Championship final today will not affect his dream to a first senior medal.

This is after Wilson Busienei, who was down with fever two weeks ago was ruled out of the event to allow him time recover ahead of the 5000m race.

“When you look at Ethiopia and Kenya, they run as a group like those girls (in the 10000m race). Its sad that I will be running alone but I won’t give up. My target is to stay at Kenenisa's heels,” said Kiprop.

The Kapchorwa star wants his achievement in junior category, where he set a new world record of 27:04.00 and also won a gold medal at the World Junior Championships in Grosetto, Italy, to be reflected on his senior form this time.
