SIR — On August 5 it was reported in the press that jose chameloene had claimed that he has no time for local artistes and that they use his name to gain fame.

let me inform chameleone that he should not be hoodwinked by fame. Does he think he is the only musician in Uganda? musicians like bebe cool also have a name to be proud of. It is childish for Chameleone therefore to claim that he is the most famous. Every person works for his name.
That is what Bebe cool, bobi wine, ragga de and the other artistes have done. chameleone exposes his arrogance by his utterances and I advise him to get a counsellor or adviser who can guide him as to what he should and should not say and when.
Artistes should sing for their fans and respect fellow artistes. One cannot survive in the industry without competition. If there was no bebe cool whom i regard a better musician, what would Chameleone say?
It is because of competition that all these musicians are enjoying the ride to fame. Chameleone, let the microphone do the talking.
