LONG starved boxing fans in Jinja will witness the return of the game when three Kenyans take on their Ugandan counterparts at Cool Breeze Hotel on August 26.
The Uganda Professional Boxing Commission (UPBC) sanctioned event is organised by Sherehe Boxing Promotion Uganda.
Addressing the press at the venue yesterday, Sherehe promotions manager Sheriff Ssekikubo said that seven fights have been fixed for the night featuring Kenyans Mohamed Orungi, Festus Omondi and Charles Dama.
Ugandan Basajja Mivule will feature against Orungi in the main bout while his countryman Dama has a big task against a more mature Nsamba Walumbe in a super bantamweight bout.
Adam Kassim who has kept a low profile for months face Andrew Samba in a lightweight fixture.
UPBC officials encouraged Sherehe to organise more fights to uplift the game in the area.
