Kakoba NTC phased out

FOLLOWING the Government’s withdrawal of funding to National Teachers Colleges, Kakoba NTC in Mbarara is to be closed and its campus taken over by the Church of Uganda-founded Bishop Stuart University.

FOLLOWING the Government’s withdrawal of funding to National Teachers Colleges, Kakoba NTC in Mbarara is to be closed and its campus taken over by the Church of Uganda-founded Bishop Stuart University.

The principal of the NTC, Kellen Mwesigye, said, “Kakoba NTC is to be phased out by the end of this year to give way to the full establishment of Bishop Stuart University.”

Bishop Stuart University is affiliated to Uganda Christian University, Mukono.

Mwesigye was speaking during the NTC’s fifth and final graduation ceremony at the college campus on Friday. Kyambogo University vice-chancellor Prof. Lutalo Bossa was the chief guest.
