HOPES of Manjiya people of Mbale district to discuss the location of the new district headquarters with local government minister Prof. Tarsis Kabwegyere were yesterday shattered after he chased a 25-man delegation out of the ministry boardroom at Worker’s House in Kampala.

HOPES of Manjiya people of Mbale district to discuss the location of the new district headquarters with local government minister Prof. Tarsis Kabwegyere were yesterday shattered after he chased a 25-man delegation out of the ministry boardroom at Worker’s House in Kampala.
Amid exchange of words, the delegation, led by the Manjiya MP David Wakikona, sought refugee at Parliament, where Wakikona addressed journalists.
Kabwegyere had called a meeting with eight MPs from Mbale district but 25 local councillors had accompanied Wakikona.
However, kabwegyere denied chasing the team. He said he did not have a problem with them, but the meeting was for MPs.
