AT a recent schools science fair in Kalangala district, pupils excited their parents and teachers with their knowledge of science.

The fair took place on Thursday, July 7 and Friday July 8 at Betta and Kibanga primary schools respectively. It was organised by Forum for African Women Educationalists (FA WE) an organisation that pays school fees for young girls from poor families.

At Betta Primary School, the pupils were very happy. They danced and sang for their parents and teachers.

After entertaining the guests, pupils showed their parents what they learn in class. They displayed how to cook, iron and how to give first aid among other experiments.
At Kibanga Primary School, pupils showed how to keep our environment clean by using dustbins and the importance of eating a balanced diet.

Parents and teachers were very happy. Science is very good for our lives.
