GULU — The district has started decongesting Alero, Anaka and Goma internally displaced people’s (IDP) camps to enable people move to secure areas where there is enough farmland. LC5 chairman Walter Ochora said the 4th Division commander, Brig. Nathan Mugisha, had allowed the community to move to a new camp at Nwoya corner.

NGO pays
GULU — A local NGO is paying school fees for needy secondary school students, Santa Obwoya, the chairperson and secretary for works in Gulu municipal council, said while meeting a representative from State House at his office recently.

Youth tested
GULU — Former Lord’s Resistance Army abduc-tees are among the 3,300 youth from internally displaced people’s camps who are visiting Gulu Youth Centre for Voluntary Counselling and Testing services, the centre manager, Denis Kibwola, said on Thursday.
