ANTHONY Bongole and Hamis Kitagenda scored as Cup Holders KCC swept aside Jogoo Young at Nakivubi stadium yesterday.

KCC, who won the first leg with a similar score, will face wither SC Villa or Masaka in the semifinals.

KCC had a shaky start yesterday against Villa’s junior side, but quickly stepped up their game.

Bongole rounded hapless Jogoo teenage goalkeeper George Mulwana on 35th minute to fire into an empty net.

Hamis Kitagenda sealed Jogoo’s fate in the 78th minute after he was set up by Nathan Mutenza.

Kitagenda tapped n easily as custodian Mulwana looked on from afar.

Villa’s entertaining game however earned them a consolation goal through Rashid Katto after a string of short passes at the KCC goalmouth in the dying minutes.
KCC however defended their lead to the final whistle.

KCC will now face the winner of the quarter-final between SC Villa and Masaka. The first leg of this game will is tomorrow at Namboole. The return match is scheduled for Sunday at Masaka Recreation ground.

KCC’s Kenyan coach Hussein Kheri said he was looking forward to meeting Villa in the semi-final.

“I like challenges. I would like to play. Villa because the game will be very tactical and many fans will turn up,” Kheri said.

With Police and Express already eliminated from the Kakungulu Cup, a single giant will make the final.
