A hard-battling URA outfit sent paperweight opponents Wolves Young spinning out of the Kakungulu Cup tournament after a 3-0 victory yesterday.
Joseph Mutyaba, Fred Okello and Ronald Ssesanga struck each to propel Deo Sserwada’s side to the semi-finals.
SC Villa, meanwhile, anticipate a tough physical confrontation when upcountry Masaka LC visit Namboole Stadium today for a cracking first leg quarter-final fixture.
Masaka have a reputation for giving as good as they get in any physical contest and Villa captain Andrew Mwesigwa predicts a real war of attrition.
“Games between us get physical but we should be victors being at home,†he said.
The Jogoos hope to give Masaka a re-run of their City Tyres Super League 3-0 thrashing at the same venue.
Then, Masaka’s backline looked ponderous and a similar lacklustre performance would be unlikely to go unpunished.
Meanwhile, Dismus Buregyeya adds that, a big reward in form of a bull and cash awaits Masaka players if they can upset predictions and eliminate Villa after their two-leg battle.
