President Yoweri Museveni has regretted the death of Associate Professor Dr. Jacob Aniku of Makerere University at a time when the Government is laying emphasis on sciences.

President Yoweri Museveni has regretted the death of Associate Professor Dr. Jacob Aniku of Makerere University at a time when the Government is laying emphasis on sciences.
Museveni said the world of academics would miss Aniku’s contribution to research and the teaching service.
This was contained in a speech read by the minister of education and sports, Namirembe Bitamazire, who represented the president at the burial of the former soil science professor at Inde village, Ogoko sub-county in Arua district on Wednesday.
The Minister for General Duties in the Prime Minister’s office, Prof. Mondo Kagonyera, attended the burial, while Makerere University vice-chancellor Prof. Livingstone Luboobi was represented by the human resource manager, Dr. Sebastian Ngobi.
