OVER 500 students of Bishop Sisto Mazoliddi S.S, a charitable school, benefited from a donation of classroom furniture from Kampala Parents' School 2004.
Speaking at the handover of 150 desks and 350 classroom chairs to the headmistress and staff of Mazoliddi last week, Samson Muwanguzi, the Kampala Parents’ School Chairman, said they were humbled by the school’s initiative to support over 200 children, most of them refugees and orphans from Gulu.
“What Mazoliddi SS is doing is very laudable. Not every school can educate 200 students, most of them refugees and orphans free of charge. As such, the proprietors of Kampala Parents School 2004 Sudhir and Jyostna Ruparelia, and the new management who are behind the initiative, felt obliged to extend a helping hand,” Muwanguzi said.
He reiterated Kampala Parents’ continued support to such noble causes, saying they would always be happy to give to those in need.
Ruth Bugeza Obella, the headmistress of the Kajjansi-based Mazoliddi SS said the donation was very timely.
“We were going to borrow furniture from Wakiso Town Council for exams when the call came in informing us to collect the donation,” she said.
