WITH barely four days left for Senior Four students to commence their final examinations, the candidates have been warned against malpractices.
Mengo minister of education and sports Dr. J.C Muyingo told the candidates to revise what they were taught and not live in the illusion of cheating.
“UNEB has issued us with regulations. Grasp all of them and don’t cheat. I appeal to all candidates in the country not to indulge in malpractices,” Muyingo said.
“They will bring to you materials purported to be examinations. Don’t get distracted. The devil is still active. There are many unscrupulous people in town who would wish to make money from your desperation. Don’t make yourselves suspect and risk your results being cancelled,” he added.
Muyingo made the appeal on Sunday while addressing O’ and A’ level candidates of Lubiri High School during ecumenical prayers to bless and wish them success.
According to UNEB’s timetable, briefing for S4 candidates is on Friday, which ostensibly marks the beginning of the examination period.
Muyingo urged candidates to be prayerful and avoid over confidence.
“Pray as if everything depends on prayer and when you read, read as if everything depends on reading,” Muyingo said.
