By Flavia Nakagwa BISHOP Balagadde Ssekkadde of namirembe Diocese on Friday donated sh1m to the christian Women’s fellowship (CWF) during its centennial celebrations.

The CWF is a women’s evangelical ministry that reaches out to fellow women in Christian, social and economic aspects. It was established by the Rev. Baskerville in 1905.

Ssekkadde was speaking during the celebrations and launch of CWF’s new green centenary uniform at the centenary house gardens.

He said it was time for Uganda to rise and shine because there is hope.

“There is new hope for Uganda. As the church, we are obliged to let everyone know about the goodness of the Lord,” Ssekkadde said.

The CWF chairperson, Yaeri Sendaula, said they would launch a campaign against promiscuity, early pregnancies, rape and domestic violence.

She said CWF would continue encouraging more people into holy matrimony. A total of 14 couples were to be joined in holy matrimony last Sunday.
