RIYAZ Kurji has once again entered a rally event in Kenya this weekend, his fourth in the country’s rally championship this season.

Kurji, who will be navigated by Sayed Kadri in a Subaru Impreza, will be flagged off in fourth position in the ninth and final round of the Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) Guru Nanak rally at Simba Union in Nairobi on Sunday.

The Ugandan rally maestro was runner-up in this year’s Africa Rally Championships (ARC) and came close to winning the sixth round of KNRC in Kisumu before bowing out in the final section with engine failure after leading for most of the rally.

In the eighth round recently in Mombasa, Kurji was once again unlucky when he rolled in the fourth section while in the lead. He will strive to put the jinx aside this time round.

Five time Kenyan champion Ian Duncan, in a Toyota Hilux, will be the first driver to leave the ramp.
