Prosecute rioters

MAKERERE students who rioted on Friday are likely to be charged with criminal offences. This is right and proper. We do not want Uganda to become like Kenya where university students start rioting over trivial reasons. There can be no justification for burning vehicles, looting shops, and terrorising the campus and adjoining suburbs. Peaceful demonstration against perceived injustices is legitimate. Violence is not.
