The firm’s latest move falls within its global policy of supporting sports.
Emirates’ new sponsorship caters for the FIFAworldcup.com, the official website of soccer’s showpiece in Germany next year. Yahoo hosts the site.
His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al-Maktoum, Emirates Chairman, said: “We are delighted to have confirmed the deal with Yahoo and FIFA to be sponsors of FIFAworldcup.com.â€
The sponsorship gives Emirates exclusive rights to the hottest elements of the site.
