UGANDA Breweries Limited (UBL) through its Uganda Waragi brand has offered Uganda’s golf team sh3m.

UGANDA Breweries Limited (UBL) through its Uganda Waragi brand has offered Uganda’s golf team sh3m.
The money will facilitate the team in the East African Challenge due next week in Kigali, Rwanda.
UBL marketing manager Sandor Walusimbi handed over the cheque to manager Charles Kareba at Uganda Golf Club yesterday.
“We thought that as a good gesture, we should come out through our Uganda Waragi brand to support the golf team,†Walusimbi said.
Walusimbi also handed over T-shirts and caps to Kareba.
The team departs tomorrow so as to test the course ahead of tee off on Monday. Uganda will face Tanzania, Rwanda and defending champions Kenya in the 72-hole match-play competition.
The nine-man Ugandan team will remain in Kigali for the Rwanda Open that will tee off on November 24.
Ugandan captain Deo Akope, coming off victory in the Tanzania Open in Arusha, is the defending champion.
