AMUSEMENT Warehouse, a South African firm, has expressed interest in dealing with Katumwa Sports Centre, Uganda’s leading sports equipment dealer.

By Vision Reporter AMUSEMENT Warehouse, a South African firm, has expressed interest in dealing with Katumwa Sports Centre, Uganda’s leading sports equipment dealer.

The company has invited Katumwa Sports Centre’s managing director, David Katumwa, to Durban to view the range of products they offer ahead of negotiations this week.

“To further our recent discussion, it gives us pleasure to invite you to visit our showroom to view the range of products,” Amusement Warehouse’s export manager Allan Siebert said in letter to Katumwa.

Katumwa said he would negotiate to become Amusement Warehouse’s Uganda agent. The South African company deals in pool tables, crane machine parts, premium cues, ash cues, juke boxes, super base jukes, snooker tables and accessories, vending machines and spare parts, coin counters, soccer tables and cue racks.

“I am interested in doing business with them because many of my customers from Uganda, Rwanda and DR Congo need those items.

“I am eager to move into Amusement’s equipment business because it is almost the same line of business. Sports itself is a form of amusement.

“I have started attracting Tanzanian traders. If this deal works out, I will have the capacity to supply the whole region,”Katumwa said.

If this South African deal works, this will become Katumwa’s 26th supplier worldwide.
