Katikkiro Joseph ssemwogerere (left) has asked the Baganda to elect leaders who will fight for Buganda’s ‘ebyaffe’ in the 2006 elections.

He said voters should elect the leaders basing on their previous stand and struggle alongside the Mengo establishment.

Ssemwogerere asked the Baganda to consolidate and strengthen what the kingdom had achieved from the Government and struggle for the kingdom’s remaining interests until all assets and property of Mengo are claimed back.

He was on Sunday speaking at Kitovu Cathedral in Masaka district during celebrations to mark the diocesan day.

He said Buganda was facing tough challenges ahead and appealed to the Baganda to turn to God at this moment and remain united and determined to face the challenges.

“We shall not get tired of demanding for our things until we get them all. If they (Government) feel they are fed up with us, let them return them all at once and we shall not bother them anymore,” Ssemwogerere said.
