DUNCAN Mugabe should give the Ugandan team a professional touch at the East African ITF U-18 world ranking tournament due in Kigali from November 27-December 1.

Mugabe has featured prominently for the Ugandan sides on the U-14 circuit in the East African region and is currently on a tennis scholarship at the ITF tennis centre in Pretoria, South Africa, where he is rated the best student.

Mugabe comes into the team as the youngest player at 15. Other members of the team include Patrick Ochan, Ronald Semanda and Jonathan Ssebanja.

The girl’s team will feature Duncan’s sister Sandra Kasumba, Janet Namutebi, Dorothy Rutabingwa and Rhona Murungi.

The Ugandan youngsters will come up against teenagers from Botswana, Burundi,Croatia,Czech Republic,Djibouti,Egypt,Ethiopia,Ghana,Great Britain,India,Israel, Kenya,Madagascar,Namibia,Romania,Rwanda,S.Africa,Sudan,Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
The circuit will move to Uganda on December 3 from Kigali.
