DEMOCRATIC Party (dp) President John Ssebaana Kizito has described as rubbish, claims that he is too old to be President and said his age does not matter as long as his brain is sharp.

“I declared my age before I was elected. It’s true that I’m old but not very old and my head is very sharp. I’ll make a good President,” Ssebaana said.

He said his critics had said a lot about his age but the party members decided to vote him as president.

Ssebaana was on Sunday evening addressing his first rally as the DP presidential candidate at the new Taxi Park in Kalisizo town council, Rakai district.

He said the DP leadership consisted of people with high intelligence.

Ssebaana lashed out at party members who claimed that they were not given any responsibility and said some of them could easily be bribed.

“We based on how you like the party and what you have done for it. We cannot entrust leadership to someone who could easily be bribed and leave DP at a crossroads,” Ssebaana added.

Ssebaana also attacked some DP members who crossed to other parties like the NRM, thinking that they would gain and ended up disappointed.

“Do not blame anyone for not getting any responsibility because you knew that that was practically wrong,” he said.

The rally, which attracted supporters from Rakai, Masaka and Kampala districts, was however, disrupted by the MTN promotion which took place at the same time and drew the attention of quite a big number of people.
