Teso incumbents lose

PRELIMINARY results of the NRM parliamentary primary elections in Teso indicate that many incumbent MPs have lost.

PRELIMINARY results of the NRM parliamentary primary elections in Teso indicate that many incumbent MPs have lost.

In Kapelebyong county (Amuria district), Johnson Malinga, the incumbent, lost to a new comer, Dr. Peter Eriaku.

In Bukedea (Kumi), preliminary results showed Dr. Peter Eselle losing to Jackson Osire.

Results from Serere indicate that the incumbent, Charles Peter Koluo, is leading Soroti LC5 chairperson Capt. John Emily Otekat. In Kasilo county (Soroti) Iteso Welfare Association chairman Fred Opolot was leading Augsutine Okiror.

In Usuk county (Katakwi), former LC5 chairman Stephen Ilemukorit Okure was leading with 3,607 while Charles Oleny had 2,662 with the exception of only Ngariam sub-county.

In Soroti county, Ateker Ejalu beat Peter Ojur.
