SIR — The Government is to lose sh350m in terminal benefits to Kagera Basin Organisation (KBO) staff. All member countries benefited from the organisation because their buildings were completed and have all along been getting revenue from them since 1985.

All project coordinators were from Uganda and our building, which was supposed to be completed in November 1985 was not, due to misappropriation of funds.

Now the Government is making arrangements to sell off the plot in order to pay the terminal benefits of the staff when they are the same people who caused that loss! Therefore this is to bring it to the attention of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to value the buildings of other stakeholder countries before considering the terminal benefits.
