President Lukyamuzi
HIS Excellency, John Ken Lukyamuzi should be his title after 2006 polls. The humourous CP president elect is confident of victory. While other aspirants are sweating to triumph in the 2006 polls, the open theatre dramatists, as many perceive him to be, is only waiting for the voting day. He told a workshop in Kampala recently that he would defeat Yoweri Museveni, the incumbent, with a landslide and immediately grant federo to Mengo. What a federalist, “the man” is.

‘Poll violence due’
ELECTIONS, the world over, have never been an easy undertaking. The forthcoming polls will not be an exception, according to EC commissioner, Tom Buruku.
He said the 2006 elections, especially the presidential, would be historically more violent, but everything will be under control.
Addressing district registrars and returning officers recently, Buruku said no chances of rigging will be taken since EC will import 50, 000 transparent ballot boxes. We pray that justice and peace prevails, but whatever the outcome, watch this space.

Mukula’s FDC fever
IF there is a thing that makes Mike Mukula, the health state minister, tensed, then it’s FDC. He says he would rather die of thirst, than take water called FDC to survive. He described the party as an old-model vehicle that never delivers its passengers to their destinations. Mukula, who was addressing NRM supporters on Saturday, doubted the party’s driver’s ability. He said Maasombira- Kizza Besigye — has never gone to a credible driving school and would kill all passengers in an accident, if voted in 2006.

Opondo’s yellow dream
THE Movement wants to see all MPs, LC5 chiefs and councillors donning yellow, the naturalised party’s colour after the 2006 elections. According to commander OO (Ofwono Opondo), a lot will have to be done to achieve this.
He told journalists in Kampala recently that an operation was launched and starts with Janet Museveni taking over Ruhama county MP seat, dislodging FDC’s Augustine Ruzindana.
It becomes a war that will be fought, not with arms, but votes. OO will not take it, if it doesn’t happen his way, but what will he do to see it through?
