USE gets highest turnover of sh1.5b

THE Uganda Securities Exchange (USE) yesterday witnessed the highest volume of shares and turnover on a single counter when a block trade of four million DFCU shares was traded at sh420 in 12 deals with a sh1.575b turnover.

THE Uganda Securities Exchange (USE) yesterday witnessed the highest volume of shares and turnover on a single counter when a block trade of four million DFCU shares was traded at sh420 in 12 deals with a sh1.575b turnover.
The USE said in a statement that activity was dominated by DFCU whose share price opened at sh420, dropped to sh390 before closing at sh420.
At the close of the session, three counters recorded outstanding orders. Baroda offered 27,100 shares at sh850 each, DFCU 1,480 shares at sh420 each and New Vision 8,800 shares at sh250 each.
Last Thursday’s session earned Uganda Clays a turnover of sh3.3m after trading 200 shares at sh16,600 each, while DFCU had a turnover of sh469,200.
