NATIONAL marathon record holder Alex Malinga will spend his festive season in the Bukwa Athletics camp preparing for the third leg of the Greatest Race On Earth (GROE) marathon due January 15 in Mumbai. Malinga, will be aiming to better Uganda’s fourth position in the Standard Chartered Bank challenge.

Talent scouts
AFTER successfully completing the Baroda Badminton Open tournament, the last event on the Uganda Badminton Association (UBA) calendar, the national association has gone into talent identification.National coach Simon Mugabi is leading several coaches in a two-week talent identification camp in Kampala.

Inzzi still in
WORLD women’s steeplechase champion Dorcus Inzikuru has vowed to continue her bid to become the world’s steeplechase record holder. She has also urged budding athletes to keep their dreams burning although they should not expect much in rewards. Inzikuru collapsed last week due to what doctors described as a ‘lot of frustration’.
