BADRU Lusambya now wants heavier opponents after what he sees as a deliberate move by welterweights to side step him.

“Let me take on bigger opponents if the welterweights are afraid of me,” said the unbeaten African champion, who has knocked out 10 of his 11 opponents.

Lusambya’s would be last two fights have seen his opponents Czech Tomas Kugler and Mexican Omar Vazquez opting out at the eleventh hour.

Tanzanian executioner Francis Cheka will on Friday be Lusambya’s first middleweight opponent.
