This is the season many people have been saving and waiting for. Now that it is here, where will you go for entertainment? Where will your favourite artistes be? Jude Katende brings you a list of the seasons’ events from today to January 1, 2006.

December 24
Karim Ssaava, the Ma Bette star, will be in Fort Portal.

December 23
Ndere Centre will take you on an Afro-jazz night session.

December 26
National theatre’s Jam Session will provide a perfect Boxing Day for those still hungry for entertainment. At the jam on the green is where you can find the biggest collection of Ugandan musicians. The shows that usually start in the evening from around 7:00pm are entirely free. You can mingle with the artistes or request for autographs.

Kiwatule recreational centre is hosting Diamonds’ Production.

Nabugabo Sand Beach in Masaka will host several artistes including, Samads, Phoebe Nassolo, Junior Pliers and Karim Saava.

After the Nabugabo show, Junior Pliers with members of Chameleone’s Leone Island Crew will be in Mubende.
lJingo Sho will be at Kiwatule Recreational Centre with many other artistes.

In Mukono, the Eagles’ Production will be performing at Colline hotel.
lWinners group, a dance act, will perform at Chez Johnson in Nakulabye.

December 25
Eagles’ Production returns to Bativa Hotel’s lush green environs. Mesach Semakula, Geoffrey Lutaaya, Irene Namatovu, Cathy Kusasira and others will be pleased to thrill you.

The Sanyu African Music and Dramatic Society (Samads), a cultural entertainment group led by Moses Kawooya will be performing at Wankulukuku alongside many other artistes.

Mityana Highway gardens will play host to Diamonds’ Production in a show dubbed Entunnuusi.

The jungle Beat Crew, Butcherman and Silver Kyagulanyi will entertain folks in Mukono at Festinocite Hotel.
lPrincess Sheila Nvannungi, Mosh, Sweet Kid, Grace Nakalema, Dorothy Bukirwa and Phina Mugerwa will perform at Imperial Resort Beach in Entebbe.

Enro Hotel in Mityana will host Special Sisters and the Dungeon troupe comedians among other entertainers. Nile Breweries is sponsoring the event.
lMbarara’s popular Agip Motel town will host Jose Chameleone and his Leone Island Crew.

Chez Johnson Nakulabye will have Ace group, a karaoke and dance group entertaining revellers.
lMaisha, a dancing group, will be at Entebbe Resort beach.

Phobe Nassolo will be at Lido beach.
lBetty Mpologoma will be at Hotel Africana and in Jinja on the same day.
lJunior Pliers will be at Kagadi.
lKarim Saava will be in Masaka.

December 27
It’s jam session night at Chez Johnson Nakulabye’s extension, ELA (Europe Learns about Africa).

It will be ladies’ cocktail nite at Blue Africa Bar and Restaurant. On the night, there are free cocktails for the ladies. The night features DJs Ricky, Shiru and Ronnie.

It will be Steak Out’s Super Tuesday with beers going for only sh1,500.
lApart from the usual movie nite at the Silk Lounge, it will be Silk Royale’s Corporate nite.

It’s Karaoke nite at Steak Out.

It’s ladies’ night at Ange Noir discotheque and at Volts discotheque.

Chez Johnson, Nakulabye hosts the Fabulous Squad, a dance group.

December 30
Maisha, a dancing group, will be at Steak Out.

December 31
It is a two-year’s dance night at Club Silk
with Kenya’s acclaimed DJ Pinye.

The Lubiri in Mmengo will host participants in a show dubbed Entanda ya Buganda. The folks who have to be well versed with Luganda’s literature will be tussling it out for a free house among other goodies. Jeckaki Band and other musicians will spice up the ‘two-year event.’

There will be a family show with fireworks at Didi’s World. The show will feature Ragga Dee, Juliana Kanyomozi among others.

Phoebe Nassolo will be in Iganga.
