VENDORS countrywide on Wednesday smiled all the way to their homes after receiving Christmas gift packs worth sh60m from The New Vision.

A pack received by 3,750 vendors contained a branded New Vision T-shirt, two kilogrammes of sugar, two of rice, one bar of soap and half a litre of cooking oil.

Those working in Kampala received their packs from the company deputy circulation manager, Danny Kawuma in the Industrial Area.

“This is in appreciation of the great work they do for us and to wish them a merry Christmas. They support us so much because they sell our products,” Kawuma said. The vendors commended The New Vision for the gifts.

“I am very happy that the company has given us something, especially as we get to Christmas. The work we do is not easy. We have to brave all kinds of weather to sell newspapers. This is a good gesture,” Obadiah Nkazibu said.
