SC Villa have ruled out any future moves into the player transfer market because the crop of youngsters coming through the ranks at Villa Park are good enough to sustain the club’s success on the field.
Club tactician Sredejovich Micho, whose side lost three regular stars to the professional world of football, revealed he was ready to call on a stock of fast improving players who have come through the Villa Park youth system.
“We have the best crop of youngsters at Villa Park. I have good young players of 20 or 23 who can come in and make an impact. I have in the past felt that we needed to sign players of quality to play where we want them to play but that has had to change,” said Micho.
The club started a youth system a couple of years ago with varying age categories that were believed to be appropriate enough of supplying the senior squad with diligent players.
“The majority of those players have the talent and for us it’s a question of patience while we wait until they are ready,” he added.
Villa, shown a heart-breaking exit from the Africa Champions League first round by Angolan giants AS Aviacao last year, were paired with Malawian side Bakili Bullets in the preliminary stage this year.
