— The chairman of Uganda Young Movementists (UYM), Joseph Mukasa, has lashed out at anti-third term politicians, saying they lack a vision for the country. Addressing a press conference at Cheeky Monkey on Friday, he said the demand of a successor from party activists showed that President Yoweri Museveni still had ideas to consolidate the country’s achievements.

‘No support’
KAMPALA
— Former rebels of the Uganda National Freedom Movement (UNFM) have withdrawn their offer to join the fight against the Joseph Kony rebels. Addressing a press review at Regency Hotel recently, UNFM spokesperson Capt. Abdallah Bogere accused some security officials and politicians of deliberately frustrating and denying them audience with President Yoweri Museveni.

Youth meet

— District youth councillor Cong Nelson has said youth in Lango sub-region are organising a youth peace conference today to condemn the LRA rebel atrocities. He said since the insurgency began, the youth had suffered a lot. He was addressing the press on Friday at White House Hotel.

Aporu warns

— State minister for disaster preparedness and refugees, Christine Aporu has warned refugees against relocating from gazetted camps, saying this undermined the Government plan to cater for them. She was recently addressing Rwandan refugees at Kyaka II refugee camp.
