The Prime Minister, Prof. Apolo Nsibambi is to launch a book that chronicles Bakonzo's struggle for ethnic identity.

The book, Tribe: the Hidden History of the Mountains of The Moon will be launched at Nile Hotel in Kampala on Monday at 6.00pm.

It is written by Tom Stacey and published by Stacy International Publications.

In the early sixties, the Bakonzo rebelled against Tooro Kingdom because of non-recognition and overlord tendencies by the kingdom authorities. The rebellion was to attract the first state-of-emergency in post-independent Uganda.

Stacey was a confidant of the late Isaya Mukirania, founder and leader of the Rwenzururu Freedom Movement.

Stacey tells the story of the Bakonzo struggle for national identity.

The book has been reviewed by international media.

It can be found at Makerere University bookshop and Aristoc Booklex.

It is a hard cover bound and costs Shs60,000.
